After a long time without a simple word, let’s write some ideas here :-)

The big tittle that I have been following on the last two years is Lean Software Development. I had the oportunity to work on projects that applied Lean Manufacturing concepts in warehouse process at 2002 and now I see a lot of people reading and discussing about “eliminate waste” (do not thing that lean concepts is only it, but be sure that it is the one of most important) in Software Development / IT projects and I say to myself finally! By the way, if you are reading this post, working on software development or IT project and never heard nothing about Lean … You should be worried. In my nine years of experience in software development projects I had the hat of a heroe and not a hat of a software architect, system analyst or no other. I was always working a lot of hours by day to have all papers fully completed … a lot of hour in alignment meetings with managers, only to send status to others managers… and so on …. So, where were my real value work hours on the project? Can you see? I believe you, one day on a project work had the same situation or thought. What we can see? A lot of waste!!!

Take some time to read Lean concepts and let your comment on this post, you can find a lot of books about Lean, for example Lean Software Development by Mary Poppendieck, Tom Poppendieck.

I hope read from you soon …
